Sending scholarship application from abroad (2018/2019)

Students, who are abroad during the application round, can be granted financial support such as Rector’s Scholarship, social grants (socjalne), special grants (specjalne) and benefits (zapomoga).

In order to apply for the Rector’s Scholarship you have to print the application from USOSweb, sign it and submit it to the Scholarship Committee/dean’s office/faculty’s office by 15th October.

We would like to remind you that if you applied for the scholarship without filling in the application in USOSweb, you have to do it as soon as the application round is open. If you don’t register your application in USOSweb, we won’t be able to process it efficiently.

If you are abroad during the application period and you won’t be able to apply on time yourself but you haven’t authorized anyone to do it in your name, you have two options:

  • send a hand-written version before the application round and fill in the electronic version later. Before you write your application, please contact us oks@uw.edu.pl (remember to include your name, surname, student number, course and year of studies)

or

  • IMMEDIATELY after the round is open in USOSweb – register your application, print and sign it, then scan the application and all relevant attachments and send all documents to your Scholarship Committee (send CC to: oks@uw.edu.pl). You should also IMMEDIATELY send all the necessary paper documents by post to your Scholarship Committee address.

If you choose to send it by registered letter from abroad – the day it will be registered by Polish post office will be considered the submission date (this means that it will have to be registered in Polish post office by 15.10.2018)

or

If you choose to send it by unregistered letter – the day it arrives to UW will be considered the submission date (this means it will have to be delivered by 15.10.2018)

Please remember that the later you send the application, the less the chance that it will arrive to us on time!
